Account Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Clerk to join our Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will support daily accounting operations by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The Account Clerk will work closely with internal departments, vendors, and customers to support efficient financial operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare, review, and maintain financial records, invoices, and payment documentation.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and payment requests.
• Record financial transactions in the company's accounting system.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on customer payments when necessary.
• Prepare account statements and financial reports for management review.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical financial records.
• Assist with payroll documentation and expense reimbursements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial regulations.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve financial accuracy.

• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Knowledge of payroll support and expense management.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
