We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating structural systems for commercial, industrial, and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and code-compliant solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and analyze steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems.
Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
Develop structural designs that meet applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, mechanical/electrical engineers, contractors, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform structural assessments, inspections, and evaluations of existing buildings and infrastructure.
Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Support construction activities by responding to technical questions and conducting site visits as needed.
Identify design risks and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
Utilize structural analysis software to model and evaluate structural performance.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
Maintain thorough project documentation and engineering records.
Requirements
achelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
3+ years of structural engineering experience (level may vary based on role).
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.
Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, and other applicable design codes.
Experience designing structural systems for commercial, industrial, or manufacturing facilities.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System, or similar platforms.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
